First time in Subic!

This is a very late blog post. 8 months late! So it was my first time to go to Subic last April, during Holy Week., which was a perfect time for me to relax and unwind after the very stressful (but super fun) Hedgren Style Fair that happened the Friday before.

When I was about 6 years old, my mom and her cousins were supposed to go on a vacation in Subic, but then a week before their trip my mom had a dream that one of them drowned while they were in Subic so they cancelled their trip. Ever since then, I've been itching to go to Subic and find out what's so special about that place.

Every Holy week, Yanee and her siblings visit their dad in Subic so this year I decided to tag along. Here's what we did during our 5-day trip to Subic:

Day 2 we took a trip to the lovely Anvaya Cove. The place was so serene and relaxing. The sand was perfect, doesn't hurt your feet and the food was great!

Day 3 we went shopping in Duty Free and I put a big hole in my wallet, haha! Joined the procession that night that went around Subic and had dinner in Xtremely Xpresso Cafe after.
I forgot the name of this drink but it was super yummy!!! I wish Xtremely Xpresso would open up a branch here in Manila :)

Day 4 took a trip to Bataan to go swimming and eat some delicious food. After that we went to Subic Fiesta Carnival and rode Taga Disco! Your trip to Subic won't be complete if you don't go on that ride!

Also met up with Migol at his house and had a few drinks!

Day 5 we celebrated Easter by going to mass early and lunch at Meat Plus. It was my first time to celebrate Easter without my family, but still it was worth it :)

Being in Subic made me feel like I was back in Cali because the houses in both places are so similar to each other! Subic is such a fun place to be. I would love to go back not only to shop in duty free (hihi!), but also to try out the dishes in their local restaurants. That would be my goal the next time I visit Subic :)
